Top Rescue Dog

This will go to the top rescue dog and the only criteria is that they came from a rescue like New Hope Dog Rescue or the SPCA. All of our dogs came from a rescue or just found on the street like our Sugar Rae. Our favourite rescue of choice is New Hope Dog Rescue as they do wonderful work and all the dogs are treated with love and respect, we just want people to know that even rescue dogs are worthy of love and can do spectacular things in the short time we have them.

Reckless Award: Top Double Drop Veteran Dog

The Top Double Drop Vet Award is in honour of a very special Sheltie named Reckless (Nicha’s Reckless Behaviour February 24, 2006-July 29, 2021) whom Laurie was blessed to be able to play agility with well into his senior years. He was a one-of-a-kind boy; always happy and finding joy in everything, especially running in the ring. Reckless had many achievements during his life: ATChC, MTRDC, MSCDC, Versatility Bronze Award, Excellent Standard Bronze, Excellent Snooker Bronze, Excellent Jumpers Bronze, Excellent Team Relay Bronze, Excellent Steeplechase Bronze, Excellent Jumpers Silver and Excellent Snooker Silver. Reckless even made the AAC Nationals podium at 12 years of age!
The Reckless Award recognizes the Highest Scoring Double Drop Veteran of the 2025 Regionals, appreciating the privilege it is to play in the ring with our dogs for as long as we can!

This award celebrates an exceptional dog who is always giving 110%.
A dog that loves the sport and handler more than anything else!
A dog that shows the most heart in every run!
A special dog that is the best teammate, friend, and companion you can ask for.
A dog that will be impossible to forget because they give you so much to remember.

In memory of Kali (2016-2024), who lost her courageous battle to cancer and was taken to soon.

Going the Distance Award (in memory of Kuma)

This award celebrates the special bond between dog and handler. It is awarded to the handler who goes the distance both inside the ring and out to make sure their dog is happy and having fun.

This award is in honour of my first agility dog, Kuma. She was a wonderful and loving girl who was full of sass and had a stubborn streak a mile long. It was a true gift to begin my agility journey with Kuma and I will forever be grateful for everything she taught has me.

Just Squeaked By Award

Awarded to the final handler and dog team to just “squeak by” and earn a qualifying score for Nationals.

Highest Scoring Veteran Award (in memory of Neutron)

In memory of Neutron. My heart dog who loved agility!

The Joy Of Agility

This award goes to the team that displays the joy of being together and enjoying each other during each run no matter the outcome.
